It was a bright and sunny Saturday and it was an opportune time for the boys and us to make a trip down to Changi Jurassic Mile! So let's follow us on our Jurassic journey~
We took Bus 110 from Farmway LRT (Sengkang) and we alighted at Changi Terminal 4 after a 30-min bus ride. After alighting, turn right and walk toward T4 and as you walked on the pedestrian crossing, turn right to Jurassic Mile. Be assured with the clear signages so you did not need to be overly concerned that you or your family would not be lost halfway.
The first thing you would notice once you reached the destination would be the sighting of a Pterodactyl on its nest of eggs, with a sign that says Changi Jurassic Mile. This would be something similar at the end of the track as well.
At the start of the track, you'll get to see the Dino Dazzle tunnel with those blinking LED string lights. Of course the lights were switched off in the day, so one could imagine them being lit up beautifully in the evening when darkness had fallen and the experience would be awesome! After passing through Dino Dazzle, you would start to see colourful 2D dino-shaped "cut-outs" lined with LED lights. The first to see was the Stegosaurus and along the way, you would get to see information boards indicating the origins, size and how the dinosaurs' features or abilities could serve the airport, like Apatosaurus' back could be the emergency runway, the bony plates of the Stegosaurus could be the sun plates that direct light at T3's departure ceiling in order to be energy efficient etc. Very interesting concepts I must say!
Other tips would include bringing sufficient water, wear sunblock in the day, wear hats or shades if it's all sunny and the best time to start the journey would be about 9.30-10am or so, just after your breakfast so that you could make your way to Jewel or other terminals for some shopping or your lunch!
